February 15, 2024: Cedar Rapids, IA 52404 In Thursday's league outing, the Linn-Mar Lions (Marion, IA) basketball squad beat the host Jefferson Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA), by a margin of 73-53.
The Lions (16-10) will now prepare for their outing against Clinton (Clinton, IA). The River Kings go into the non-league outing with a 0-22 record. In their last outing, Clinton was beaten by Central Clinton (DeWitt, IA), 70-64, in a league outing.
The Hawks now own a 3-21 record. They play next when they host Prairie for a Mississippi Valley outing on Monday, February 19. Jefferson will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 89-48 league win over Waterloo West (Waterloo, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 12-11.
