New Mexico High School Basketball - Silver nips Santa Teresa
February 15, 2024: Silver City, NM 88061 Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Santa Teresa Desert Warriors (Santa Teresa, NM), 64-57 in a league bout.
With the win, Silver upgrades its record to 15-8 on the season. The Fighting Colts travel to Deming (Deming, NM) to play the Wildcats in a 4A District 3 bout on Monday, February 19. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 2-22. Deming lost 38-32 in their recent league challenge against Chaparral (Chaparral, NM)
Next up, the Desert Warriors confront the Chaparral Lobos (Chaparral, NM) in a 4A District 3 challenge, on Monday, February 19. Santa Teresa will attempt to improve on its 11-12 season record. The Lobos come into the challenge with a 9-15 record after their 38-32 league win over Deming (Deming, NM).
