In Thursday's non-league match, the host Swain County Maroon Devils basketball team scored a good 51-40 triumph over the Andrews Wildcats.

In their next game, the Maroon Devils meet the Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) in a 1A Big Smoky match, on Monday, February 19. Swain County will attempt to better on its 12-13 season record. The Braves enter the match with a 21-1 record after their 92-20 league win over Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC).
