New Mexico High School Basketball - Taos nips Pojoaque Valley
February 15, 2024: Pojoaque, NM 87506 Taos Tigers (Taos, NM) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM), 40-37 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Taos upgrades its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Moriarty (Moriarty, NM) to play the Pintos in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 17. The Pintos come into the bout with a record of 6-11. Moriarty lost 63-19 in their recent non-league bout against Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM)
The Elks/Elkettes now own a 7-7 record. They play next when they host Moriarty for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 20. Pojoaque Valley will encounter a Pintos squad coming off a 72-48 non-league loss to Taos (Taos, NM). The Pintos record now stands at 6-12.
