Virginia High School Basketball - Wilson Memorial knocks off Riverheads
February 15, 2025: Staunton, VA 24401 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets (Fishersville, VA) and the host Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA), observed Wilson Memorial's basketball team overcome Riverheads by a margin of 42-24.
The Green Hornets (15-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 14-8 record. In their last challenge, Stuarts Draft defeated Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA), 57-53, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Gladiators battle the Buffalo Gap Bison (Swoope, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 17. Riverheads will attempt to better on its 5-13 season record. The Bison come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 46-28 non-league loss to Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA).
