Virginia High School Basketball - Wilson Memorial holds off Fort Defiance
January 21, 2025: Fishersville, VA 22939 The Wilson Memorial Green Hornets basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting Fort Defiance Indians to 55 in the Green Hornets non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Green Hornets now have a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Stuarts Draft for a non-league game on Friday, January 24. Wilson Memorial will confront a Cougars team coming off a 55-27 non-league win over Riverheads (Staunton, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 10-5.
With the loss, Fort Defiance falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Indians host Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA) to confront the Little Giants in a non-league game on Friday, January 24. The Little Giants go into the game with a record of 6-4. Waynesboro won 52-35 in their recent non-league game against Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA)
