In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Harlingen Cardinals softball team scored a tight 7-6 win over the Mercedes Tigers.

The Cardinals (3-3) will now prepare for their match against Edinburg (Edinburg, TX). The Bobcats come into the non-league match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Edinburg nipped McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX), 12-1, in a non-league match.
