Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers (Waynesfield, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Ridgemont Golden Gophers (Mount Victory, OH), 66-59 in a league bout.

With the victory, Waynesfield-Goshen upgrades its record to 7-12 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Mechanicsburg (Mechanicsburg, OH) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 17. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 3-17. Mechanicsburg lost 63-56 in their recent non-league bout against Shekinah Christian (Plain City, OH)

Next up, the Golden Gophers play the McComb Panthers (McComb, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 17. Ridgemont will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 3-17 record after their 66-46 league loss to Riverdale (Mt. Blanchard, OH).
