January 19, 2024: Waynesfield, OH 45896 Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers (Waynesfield, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets (Rawson, OH), 38-36 in a league bout.
With the win, Waynesfield-Goshen upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Tigers host Riverdale (Mt. Blanchard, OH) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Riverdale won 72-33 in their recent league bout against Vanlue (Vanlue, OH)
Next up, the Fighting Hornets clash with the Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) in a Northwest Central bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Cory-Rawson will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 47-42 league loss to Temple Christian (Lima, OH).
