The Mankato West Scarlets ice hockey squad (Mankato, MN), was overwhelmed 8-1 in Friday's league outing with the visiting Mayo Spartans (Rochester, MN)

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Albert Lea Tigers (Albert Lea, MN) in a Big 9 outing, on Sunday, February 19. Mayo will attempt to better on its 12-4 season record. The Tigers come into the outing with a 16-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Mankato East (Mankato, MN).

With the defeat, Mankato West moves to 5-10 on the season. The Scarlets travel to Northfield (Northfield, MN) to battle the Raiders in a non-league outing on Saturday, February 18. The Raiders come into the outing with a record of 17-4. Northfield won 9-0 in their recent non-league outing against Austin (Austin, MN)
