The Porter Ridge Pirates basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Sun Valley Spartans to 53 in the Pirates league triumph on Monday.

The Pirates now have a 5-19 record. They play next when they travel to Weddington for a non-league game on Wednesday, February 19. Porter Ridge will confront a Warriors team coming off a 70-65 league win over Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 19-5.

With the loss, Sun Valley falls to 8-16 on the campaign.
