Kentucky High School Basketball - Garrard County can't hold off Western Hills
February 19, 2024: Frankfort, KY 40601 The Western Hills Wolverines basketball team scored 73 points and held the visiting Garrard County Golden Lions to 69 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Monday.
The Wolverines now sport a 7-21 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ryle for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 21. Western Hills will battle a Raiders team coming off a 87-69 non-league loss to St. Xavier (Louisville, KY). The Raiders record now stands at 16-11.
The Golden Lions (6-22) will now prepare for their contest against Southwestern (Somerset, KY). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 12-15 record. In their last contest, Southwestern nudged Somerset (Somerset, KY), 50-48, in a non-league contest.
