Illinois High School Basketball - Fieldcrest triumphant over Midland
February 19, 2025: Varna, IL 61375 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL) and the host Midland Timberwolves (Varna, IL), observed Fieldcrest's basketball team overwhelm Midland by a score of 68-44.
The Knights (22-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Tri-Valley (Downs, IL). The Vikings come into the Heart of Illinois challenge with a 23-6 record. In their last challenge, Tri-Valley trounced Fisher (Fisher, IL), 59-44, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Timberwolves battle the Roanoke-Benson Rockets (Roanoke, IL) in a Tri-County challenge, on Friday, February 21. Midland will attempt to improve on its 10-18 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 11-16 record after their 63-47 non-league loss to Peoria Christian (Peoria, IL).
