The Lamar Thunder basketball team scored 40 points and limited the visiting St. Mary's Pirates to 39 in the Thunder league triumph on Wednesday.

The Thunder now possess a 17-3 record. They play next when they travel to Colorado Springs Christian for a 4A/3A Tri-Peaks game on Tuesday, February 25. Lamar will confront a Lions team coming off a 64-15 league win over Banning Lewis Academy (Colorado Springs, CO). The Lions record now stands at 17-3.

With the loss, St. Mary's falls to 13-6 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Woodland Park (Woodland Park, CO) to confront the Panthers in a 4A/3A Tri-Peaks game on Friday, February 21. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 0-20. Woodland Park lost 40-16 in their recent league game against Banning Lewis Academy (Colorado Springs, CO)
