February 20, 2024: Farmington, NM 87402 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM), saw Sandia's basketball squad overcome Piedra Vista by a tally of 59-50.
With the victory, Sandia improves its record to 8-11 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 23. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 13-6. West Mesa lost 72-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 22. Piedra Vista will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Scorpions come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 52-48 non-league loss to La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM).
