Speedway Sparkplugs (Speedway, IN) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils (Indianapolis, IN), 66-65 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Speedway upgrades its record to 3-17 on the campaign. The Sparkplugs host Triton Central (Fairland, IN) to play the Tigers in a Indiana Crossroads bout on Friday, February 24. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 15-6. Triton Central lost 70-65 in their recent league bout against Beech Grove (Beech Grove, IN)
