Michigan High School Basketball - Wright holds off West Iron County
February 22, 2024: Ironwood, MI 49938 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Wright Red Devils (Ironwood, MI) and the visiting West Iron County Wykons (Iron River, MI), saw Wright's basketball squad hold off West Iron County by a tally of 59-52.
With the victory, Wright improves its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Red Devils host L'Anse (L'Anse, MI) to confront the Purple Hornets in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 29. The Purple Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 9-11.
Next up, the Wykons confront the Hancock Bulldogs (Hancock, MI) in a Western Peninsula challenge, on Tuesday, February 27. West Iron County will attempt to improve on its 10-11 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 9-10 record after their 42-32 non-league win over L'Anse (L'Anse, MI).
