Michigan High School Basketball - L'Anse routed by West Iron County
February 2, 2024: Iron River, MI 49935 West Iron County Wykons (Iron River, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting L'Anse Purple Hornets (L'Anse, MI), 61-38 in a non-league bout.
With the win, West Iron County upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Wykons host Hancock (Hancock, MI) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Western Peninsula bout on Monday, February 5. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Hancock won 47-28 in their recent non-league bout against Gwinn (Gwinn, MI)
Next up, the Purple Hornets clash with the Ontonagon Gladiators (Ontonagon, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. L'Anse will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Gladiators go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 45-32 league win over Johnston (Bessemer, MI).
