West Virginia High School Basketball - Midland Trail crushes Meadow Bridge

February 23, 2023: Hico, WV 25854

Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Meadow Bridge Wildcats (Meadow Bridge, WV), 81-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Midland Trail upgrades its record to 13-9 on the season. The Patriots travel to PikeView (Princeton, WV) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-11. PikeView lost 59-46 in their recent league bout against Bluefield (Bluefield, WV)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) in a Coalfield AA bout, on Friday, February 24. Meadow Bridge will attempt to upgrade on its 3-17 season record. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a 10-11 record after their 59-50 league loss to Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV).
