The Independence Patriots basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates to 45 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Patriots now sport a 25-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Norman for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 25. Independence will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 80-61 non-league win over Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 28-0.
