Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Corona del Sol Aztecs (Tempe, AZ), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Red Mountain for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 24. Gilbert will face a Mountain Lions squad coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Corona del Sol (Tempe, AZ). The Mountain Lions record now stands at 1-0.
