February 23, 2024: Northome, MN 56650 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Kelliher/Northome Mustangs (Northome, MN) and the visiting Blackduck Drakes (Blackduck, MN), saw Kelliher/Northome's basketball squad overcome Blackduck by a tally of 95-82.
With the victory, Kelliher/Northome improves its record to 7-15 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Lake of the Woods (Baudette, MN) to confront the Bears in a A Section 8 challenge on Monday, February 26. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 1-22. Lake of the Woods won 72-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Floodwood (Floodwood, MN)
Next up, the Drakes confront the Cook County Vikings (Grand Marais, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 24. Blackduck will attempt to improve on its 3-19 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 77-36 non-league loss to Barnum (Barnum, MN).
