Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Bishop Kenny Crusaders (Jacksonville, FL) and the visiting Ponte Vedra Sharks (Ponte Vedra, FL), saw Bishop Kenny's baseball squad knock off Ponte Vedra by a count of 2-0.

Coming up next, the Crusaders play the West Nassau Warriors (Callahan, FL) in a non-league battle, on Friday, February 24. Bishop Kenny will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record.

The Sharks now possess a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Bolles for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 28. Ponte Vedra will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 22-6 non-league win over Trinity Christian (Jacksonville, FL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-1.

Connor Long pitched 7 innings of shut out ball for his first victory of the season as Bishop Kenny handed Ponte Vedra their second defeat of the season.

Matt Deegan gave up but three hits but 4 Ponte Vedra errors led to both of Bishop Kenny's runs as the host Crusaders improve their season record to 4-1.

Bishop Kenny scored their first run in the second without the benefit of a hit while Chris Molter drove in All State football quarterback John Wohlford with a third inning double for the other Crusader run.

Jake Jacob, Nate Polling, Nate Rokosz and Jordan McKinney each had solo singles for the 4-2 Sharks.
