Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Big Rapids Cardinals (Big Rapids, MI) and the host Tri County Area Vikings (Howard City, MI), saw Big Rapids's basketball squad hold off Tri County Area by a tally of 67-63.

With the victory, Big Rapids improves its record to 17-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Kent City (Kent City, MI) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 28. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 9-7.

Next up, the Vikings confront the Reed City Coyotes (Reed City, MI) in a Central State - Gold challenge, on Tuesday, February 28. Tri County Area will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a 12-8 record after their 73-46 league win over Central Montcalm (Stanton, MI).
