The South Portland Red Riots topped the host Thornton Academy Trojans basketball team by a final score of 55-44 in Saturday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Red Riots face the Portland Bulldogs (Portland, ME) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 4. South Portland will attempt to move on its 18-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 16-5 record after their 47-35 non-league win over Oxford Hills (South Paris, ME).

With the defeat, Thornton Academy moves to 17-4 on the year.
