Texas High School Softball - Iowa Colony succumbs to Angleton

February 25, 2025: Angleton, TX 77515

In Tuesday's league test, the Angleton Wildcats (Angleton, TX) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Iowa Colony Pioneers (Iowa Colony, TX), by a tally of 8-0.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Santa Fe Indians (Santa Fe, TX) in a 5A Region III District 20 challenge, on Friday, February 28. Angleton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Conroe (Conroe, TX).

The Pioneers (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Ball (Galveston, TX). The Tornadoes enter the 5A Region III District 20 challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Ball was routed by Texas City (Texas City, TX), 5-4, in a league challenge.
