Raleigh Lions (Raleigh, MS) supporters left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Morton Panthers (Morton, MS), 6-5 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Raleigh improves its record to 2-5 on the year. The Lions host Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS) to play the Tigers in a non-league game on Thursday, February 27. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 5-2. Northeast Jones won 16-1 in their recent non-league game against Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS)

The Panthers now hold a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Sebastopol for a non-league game on Saturday, March 1. Morton will play a Bobcats squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Pisgah (Sandhill, MS). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-0.
