Avoca Central Tigers (Avoca, NY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Houghton Academy Panthers (Houghton, NY), 46-16 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Avoca Central upgrades its record to 15-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host Jasper-Troupsburg (Jasper, NY) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 1. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 4-10. Jasper-Troupsburg won 40-33 in their recent non-league bout against Northstar Christian Academy (Rochester, NY)
