In Thursday's non-league match, the host St. Scholastica Doves softball team scored a tight 10-7 win over the Covington Lions.

The Doves (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Pearl River (Pearl River, LA). The Rebels enter the 4A District 8 game with a 2-2 record.

The Lions now hold a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Ocean Springs for a non-league game on Friday, February 27. Covington will play a Greyhounds squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over West Marion (Foxworth, MS). The Greyhounds record now stands at 7-2.
