The Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC), 70-63 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Patriots (19-8) will now prepare for their test against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers go into the non-league test with a 22-5 record. In their last test, Watauga got by Reagan (Pfafftown, NC), 73-64, in a non-league test.

The Chargers now own a 13-14 record.
