North Carolina High School Basketball - Independence tops Hough

November 21, 2023: Charlotte, NC 28227

Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC), 54-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Independence upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Northside Christian Academy (Charlotte, NC) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Friday, November 24. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 3-1. Northside Christian Academy won 52-46 in their recent non-league bout against Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC)

Next up, the Huskies play the Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls (Harrisburg, NC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 25. Hough will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Ragin' Bulls come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 62-51 non-league win over Carolina International (Concord, NC).
