Michigan High School Basketball - Bad Axe nudges Marlette
February 27, 2024: Marlette, MI 48453 Bad Axe Hatchets (Bad Axe, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Marlette Red Raiders (Marlette, MI), 41-37 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Bad Axe upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The Hatchets travel to Cass City (Cass City, MI) to clash with the Red Hawks in a Greater Thumb - West bout on Thursday, February 29. The Red Hawks go into the bout with a record of 11-10. Cass City lost 39-14 in their recent non-league bout against Sandusky (Sandusky, MI)
Next up, the Red Raiders clash with the Vassar Vulcans (Vassar, MI) in a Greater Thumb - West bout, on Thursday, February 29. Marlette will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Vulcans go into the bout with a 3-18 record after their 54-18 non-league loss to Harbor Beach (Harbor Beach, MI).
