The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) and the visiting Union Mine Diamondbacks (El Dorado, CA), saw Ponderosa's baseball team gain a win over Union Mine by a tally of 8-3.

The Bruins (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Woodcreek (Roseville, CA). The Timberwolves enter the battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Woodcreek held off West Park (Roseville, CA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
