The Monterey Plainsmen baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Montwood Rams to 4 in the Plainsmen non-league win on Saturday.

The Plainsmen now hold a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Frenship for a non-league test on Thursday, March 5. Monterey will play a Tigers team coming off a 15-5 non-league loss to Lovejoy (Lucas, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 3-3.

With the defeat, Montwood drops to 3-7 on the season. The Rams host Greenwood (Midland, TX) to battle the Rangers in a non-league outing on Saturday, February 28.
