March 2, 2024: Shreveport, LA 71104 West Ouachita Chiefs (West Monroe, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, LA), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, West Ouachita upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Chiefs host Winnfield (Winnfield, LA) to battle the Tigers in a non-league test on Monday, March 4. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 0-9. Winnfield lost 11-7 in their recent non-league test against Benton (Benton, LA)
With the defeat, Byrd falls to 1-6 on the season. The Yellow jackets host St. Charles Catholic (LaPlace, LA) to battle the Comets in a non-league test on Saturday, March 2. The Comets come into the test with a record of 4-3. St. Charles Catholic won 6-5 in their recent non-league test against Ruston (Ruston, LA)
