The Gaither Cowboys softball team scored 7 runs and limited the host Plant Panthers to 2 in the Cowboys non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Gaither improves its record to 8-2 on the year. The Cowboys travel to Leto (Tampa, FL) to clash with the Falcons in a 7A District 8 game on Tuesday, March 8. The Falcons come into the game with a record of 4-5. Leto won 11-0 in their recent league game against Hillsborough (Tampa, FL)

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Sickles Gryphons (Tampa, FL) in a 8A District 5 game, on Tuesday, March 8. Plant will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Gryphons come into the game with a 8-3 record after their 6-2 league loss to Steinbrenner (Lutz, FL).
