The New Iberia Yellowjackets basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Northshore Panthers to 44 in the Yellowjackets non-league victory on Friday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 29-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walker for a non-league contest on Monday, March 6. New Iberia will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 74-63 non-league win over Ouachita Parish (Monroe, LA). The Wildcats record now stands at 28-5.

The Panthers (21-11) will now prepare for their contest against West Harrison (Gulfport, MS). The Hurricanes come into the non-league contest with a 4-16 record. In their last contest, West Harrison was defeated by Hattiesburg (Hattiesburg, MS), 72-42, in a non-league contest.
