The Columbus Cougars basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the visiting Baker Spartans to 42 in the Cougars non-league victory on Saturday.

The Cougars now sport a 15-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Malta for a non-league contest on Thursday, March 9. Columbus will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 60-33 non-league win over Wolf Point (Wolf Point, MT). The Mustangs record now stands at 22-1.

The Spartans (19-3) will now prepare for their contest against Bigfork (Bigfork, MT). The Vikings & Valkyries come into the non-league contest with a 22-0 record. In their last contest, Bigfork edged Loyola-Sacred Heart (Missoula, MT), 63-30, in a non-league contest.
