In Tuesday's non-league game, the visiting Mount Pleasant Tigers baseball team scored a close 13-9 victory over the Piedmont Panthers.

The Tigers (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Vikings enter the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Central Cabarrus held off East Rowan (Salisbury, NC), 5-1, in a league game.

Next, the Panthers face the Carmel Christian Cougars (Matthews, NC) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, March 5. Piedmont will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Cougars enter the game with a 1-1 record after their 14-2 non-league win over Cannon (Concord, NC).
