The Coronado Cougars triumphed over the visiting Bishop Gorman Gaels softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Wednesday's league challenge.

Next, the Cougars meet the Shadow Ridge Mustangs (Las Vegas, NV) in a 5A South - Desert challenge, on Friday, March 6. Coronado will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record. The Mustangs come into the battle with a 3-0 record after their 8-6 league win over Arbor View (Las Vegas, NV).

With the loss, Bishop Gorman moves to 1-3 on the season. The Gaels host Palo Verde (Las Vegas, NV) to confront the Panthers in a 5A South - Desert battle on Friday, March 6. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 2-0. Palo Verde won 8-2 in their recent league battle against Centennial (Las Vegas, NV)
