Algonac Muskrats (Algonac, MI) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Richmond Blue Devils (Richmond, MI), 71-69 in a league bout.

With the victory, Algonac upgrades its record to 2-16 on the campaign. The Muskrats travel to Clintondale (Clinton Township, MI) to play the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 7. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 8-10.

Next up, the Blue Devils confront the Yale Bulldogs (Yale, MI) in a Blue Water Area challenge, on Monday, March 7. Richmond will attempt to improve on its 15-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 17-5 record after their 50-45 league loss to Richmond (Richmond, MI).
