Springstead Eagles (Spring Hill, FL) fans left the game pleased Thursday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL), 5-1 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Springstead advances its record to 8-2 on the season. The Eagles host Citrus (Inverness, FL) to battle the Hurricanes in a non-league match on Friday, March 7. The Hurricanes come into the match with a record of 6-5. Citrus won 5-0 in their recent non-league match against Trinity Catholic (Ocala, FL)

The Mustangs now have a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to George Jenkins for a non-league match on Friday, March 7. Mitchell will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 10-2 non-league win over Bartow (Bartow, FL). The Eagles record now stands at 6-4.
