The East Gaston Warriors softball squad (Mt. Holly, NC), was routed 12-7 in Thursday's non-league contest with the visiting South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC)

With the triumph, South Point improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Red Raiders host Crest (Shelby, NC) to face the Chargers in a Big South 3A contest on Tuesday, March 11. The Chargers enter the contest with a record of 5-1. Crest won 11-1 in their recent league contest against Forestview (Gastonia, NC)

The Warriors now hold a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Highland Tech for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A contest on Friday, March 7. East Gaston will face a Rams squad coming off a 5-3 league loss to East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Rams record now stands at 2-1.
