Georgia High School Soccer - Portal nudges Johnson County
March 7, 2024: Wrightsville, GA 31096 Portal Panthers (Portal, GA) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Johnson County Trojans (Wrightsville, GA), 2-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Panthers confront the Bryan County Redskins (Pembroke, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 8. Portal will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Redskins enter the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 2-1 league win over Claxton (Claxton, GA).
The Trojans now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Montgomery County for a 1A D-II Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 12. Johnson County will battle a Eagles team coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Vidalia Heritage Academy (Vidalia, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-5.
