April 9, 2024: Portal, GA 30450 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the Screven County Gamecocks (Sylvania, GA) and the host Portal Panthers (Portal, GA), saw Screven County's soccer squad get by Portal by a margin of 3-2.
The Gamecocks now sport a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to East Laurens for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 16. Screven County will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald, GA). The Falcons record now stands at 17-1.
With the loss, Portal drops to 11-2 on the season. The Panthers travel to Wheeler County (Alamo, GA) to encounter the Bulldogs in a 1A D-II Region 2 test on Thursday, April 11. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 8-3. Wheeler County won 2-1 in their recent league test against Johnson County (Wrightsville, GA)
