Louisiana High School Softball - St. Edmund bounces False River
March 7, 2024: New Roads, LA 70760 St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host False River Gators (New Roads, LA), 22-0 in a league challenge.
The Fighting Blue Jays now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Port Barre for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 8. St. Edmund will face a Red Devils squad coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Welsh (Welsh, LA). The Red Devils record now stands at 4-5.
With the loss, False River falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA) to face the Trojans in a 1A District 6 challenge on Tuesday, March 12. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 7-4. Sacred Heart won 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Mamou (Mamou, LA)
