Louisiana High School Softball - St. Edmund topped by Sacred Heart
March 20, 2024: Ville Platte, LA 70586 The Sacred Heart Trojans softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays to 1 in the Trojans league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, Sacred Heart moves its record to 11-5 on the year. The Trojans host Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA) to clash with the Hornets in a 1A District 6 game on Thursday, March 21. The Hornets come into the game with a record of 14-8. Catholic of Pointe Coupee won 9-3 in their recent non-league game against St. Joseph's Academy (Baton Rouge, LA)
In their next game, the Fighting Blue Jays clash with the Opelousas Catholic Vikings (Opelousas, LA) in a 1A District 6 battle, on Thursday, March 21. St. Edmund will attempt to advance on its 8-6 season record. The Vikings go into the battle with a 15-5 record after their 15-0 league win over Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA).
