March 23, 2024: Port Barre, LA 70577 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Port Barre Red Devils (Port Barre, LA) and the visiting St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA), saw Port Barre's softball squad nip St. Edmund by a count of 12-7.
The Red Devils now sport a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they host Ville Platte for a 3A District 4 match on Monday, March 25.
With the loss, St. Edmund falls to 8-8 on the campaign. The Fighting blue jays host Church Point (Church Point, LA) to face the Bears in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 26. The Bears enter the match with a record of 9-10.
