March 7, 2025: West Monroe, LA 71291 In Friday's non-league test, the Sam Houston Broncos (Lake Charles, LA) softball squad overwhelmed the host West Monroe Rebels (West Monroe, LA), by a tally of 7-2.
Next, the Broncos clash with the Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, March 8. Sam Houston will attempt to advance on its 7-2 season record. The Hornets go into the test with a 8-2 record after their 8-1 non-league win over St. Joseph's Academy (Baton Rouge, LA).
The Rebels (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Dutchtown (Geismar, LA). The Griffins go into the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Dutchtown was routed by St. Amant (St. Amant, LA), 9-7, in a league test.
