March 8, 2024: Geismar, LA 70734 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Archbishop Chapelle Chipmunks (Metairie, LA) and the host Dutchtown Griffins (Geismar, LA), witnessed Archbishop Chapelle's softball squad tip Dutchtown by a count of 1-0.
The Chipmunks now sport a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to North DeSoto for a non-league match on Saturday, March 9. Archbishop Chapelle will face a Griffins squad coming off a 10-3 non-league win over East Ascension (Gonzales, LA). The Griffins record now stands at 15-0.
With the loss, Dutchtown moves to 10-3 on the season. The Griffins host Barbe (Lake Charles, LA) to face the Buccaneers in a non-league match on Saturday, March 9. The Buccaneers go into the match with a record of 8-9. Barbe lost 13-0 in their recent non-league match against Oak Grove (Oak Grove, LA)
